Defence Ministry Responds On Reports Of Model Of Chinook helicopter Missing

New Delhi : The Ministry of Defense has clarified that the report of missing Chinook helicopter model during the DefExpo 2020 in Lucknow is misleading.

The ministry’s spokesperson A Bharat Bhushan Babu stated that the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) never installed any helicopter model in Lucknow. Chinook is made by Boeing and DRDO has never installed any Helicopter Model at Lucknow anytime or handed any such model over to Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC). DefExpo2020 was an incident free exhibition and no product or model went missing during its conduct. LMC has stated that in 2020 a one dimensional helicopter model was installed in view of Global Investors’ Summit and G20, and was later removed via scrap vehicle, with the metal being used in LMC’s Waste to Wonder Park.
