Pune :  The Indian Institute of Materials Management Pune Branch successfully hosted the 10th Annual Supply Chain Awards 2026 on Saturday, marking a significant milestone alongside the celebration of 60 years of the IIMM Pune Branch. The prestigious event brought together industry leaders, professionals, and dignitaries to recognize outstanding contributions across the supply chain ecosystem.

The program commenced with a special film showcasing 60 years of IIMM Pune Branch followed by recognizing past Chairmen for their invaluable contributions which included Mr. Suresh. Naik, Mr. Vijay Kiyawat, Mr. Pradip Nadkarni, Mr. Pravin Sampat, Mr. D. D. Wanjale and Mr. Vijay Laghate.

The evening featured the presentation of several prestigious awards including nominated and conferred awards acknowledging excellence across sectors. The lifetime achievement award was conferred on Mr. H. R. Gaikwad, CMD, Bharat Vikas Group (BVG).

Mr. Suhas Gawas, Chairman IIMM, Pune said that last few years we have fundamentally redefined the role of supply chain management from being operational enablers to becoming strategic deliverers of business continuity, sustainability and national growth.  Today’s supply chain leaders are not just managing complexities and disruptions, but also shaping the future through digitalisation, responsible resourcing and collaborative ecosystems. Strong supply chains are backbone of strong economy.

Chief Guest Mr. Robert John, Director and Chief Executive, Amphenol Interconnect India Pvt ltd, said that supply chain management has become vital and critical to Indias economic landscape which has totally transformed in last decade. One of the key contributors in this growth has been the supply chain management. Logistics has played an integral role in seamless transportation and distribution of goods across the country and beyond and ensuring businesses can function efficiently and meet customer needs both domestically and internationally.  Innovations, GPS tracking, real time data analytics adoption of AI has enabled Logistics companies to optimise routes, reduce delivery times and reduce costs.

IIMM Pune Branch Souvenir, commemorating six decades of excellence was also released on the occasion.

Mr. Mohan Nair, Past Chairman & Current National Councillor of IIMM Pune, was the master of ceremonies for the event. Mr. K.R Nair was the convenor for the event and proposed the vote of thanks.
