Pune’s Aarav Sancheti to represent India at IBSF World Under-17 and Under-21 Snooker Championship !!

Only player selected from Maharashtra!!

Pune, July 15: Pune’s Aarav Sancheti is representing the Indian team participating in the IBSF World Under-17 and Under-21 Snooker Championship, which began today in Manama, Bahrain, organized by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF). Aarav is the only player from Maharashtra and Pune to be selected in the Indian team and the 14-year-old Aarav is the youngest player in the team.

Along with Aarav (Maharashtra), the Indian team includes Bhavya Pipalia (Gujarat), Aarav Jayad (Karnataka), Rahul Williams (Tamil Nadu) and Vaibhav Chaddha (Telangana). Ashok Shandilya will be the coach of the team. The tournament, which began today (July 15) in Manama, Bahrain, will end on July 24.

Aarav is the son of national and state level snooker and billiards player Sachin Sancheti and like his father, he has proven his worth in this sport. Aarav is ranked No. 1 in the Indian (National) Sub-Junior 2024 Snooker and Billiards category and No. 1 in the Maharashtra (State) Sub-Junior category.

Aarav practices at AMANORA THE FERN CLUB under the guidance of Yasin Merchant. He is currently preparing for his 10th exam under the NIOS Open School Curriculum. Aarav also participated in the IBSF World Under-17 Snooker Championship held in 2023. This competition was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
