Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture (BNCA) Signs MoU with AESA to Launch P.G. Diploma in Built Environment 

 

Pune :  In a significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration, Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture (BNCA), Pune, announced the launch of a Post Graduate Diploma Course in the Built Environment in collaboration with the Architects, Engineers and Surveyors Association (AESA), Pune Civil Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF), and Rohan Builders, Pune. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed during the prestigious 31st AESA Awards 2026, held at Sheraton Grand, Pune, marking a key milestone as AESA celebrates 55 years of excellence.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Anurag Kashyap, Principal, BNCA, and Ar. Rajiv Raje, President, AESA, in the presence of eminent dignitaries from academia and industry in the presence of Ar. Vilas Avachat, President, Indian Institute of Architects, Ar. Shirish Kembhavi, Hon. Secretary, PCERF, Mr. Jaydeep Raje, Er. Jayant Inamdar, from PCERF and Mr. Abhishek Bhatewara from Rohan Builders, Ar. Mahesh Bangad, Chairman, AESA, Ar. Ninad Jog, Hon. Secretary, AESA along with Dr. Vaishali Anagal, Program Director, and Ar. Pooja Ghorpade, Program Coordinator.

Dr Anurag Kashyap said “This initiative marks a new milestone in BNCA’s journey, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and industry-integrated education in the built environment sector. This P.G. Diploma in Built Environment is one-year, industry-oriented work-based programme designed to equip professionals with relevant skills and practical knowledge. Admissions begin on 1st July 2026, with the course commencing on 15th September 2026.” The program coordinator Dr Vaishali Anagal informed that this curriculum is developed in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and leading industry partners, and it bridges the skills and knowledge gap between academia and practice. It is open to architects, civil engineers, and management graduates, and caters to fresh graduates (skilling), mid-career professionals (upskilling), and senior professionals (reskilling), with work-based learning, internships, and sessions led by experienced industry experts.”

The launch of the program was witnessed by 300 multi-disciplinary professionals from the Built Environment.
