FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship for Two-Wheelers Preliminary Round Completed!!
Pune, December 14: The preliminary round before the final round of the Indian National Rally Sprint Championship, held under the auspices of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), has been completed today. The national champion will be decided from among the top and best riders in India in the final and decisive round to be held today (Sunday, December 14, 2024).
70 riders from the country participated in the preliminary round held today at Nanoli Speed-way Farms in Kamshet near Pune. The round was inaugurated by Faraz Sheikh, Divisional Manager of ‘Eurogrip’ tyre manufacturing company. FB Motorsports Director and 3-time National Rally Champion and winner of the prestigious Great Desert Himalayan Rally Farad Bhathena and Chinmayi Bhathena were present at occasion. A total of more than 100 entries have been received for this final round. Riders from Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Bhopal, Guwahati, Erode, Thrissur and Coorg in Tamil Nadu, Assam, Karnataka, Ernakulam, Shimoga, Jaipur in Kerala have participated in this final round.
Top riders from Pune in Maharashtra like Kishore Jadhav, Mohan Sethia, Purushottam Mate, Kunal Singh, Nitish Chaudhary, Danesh Joshi, Pankaj Thakkar, Aditya Rajput, Rohit Shinde from Baramati, Ajit Patil from Sangli, Darshan Chaware from Nashik, Badal Doshi (Navi Mumbai) have participated. Punekars will be able to experience the thrill of this two-wheeler dirt race. There will be no entry fee for rally racing, and all sports enthusiasts have free entry.
Leading tire manufacturer ‘Eurogrip’ has sponsored the final round of this rally championship and riders were given for this competition on behalf of the tire company.
Before this final round, this rally championship started from June 2024. The first round was held at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai, the southern section. The second round of the southern section was held in Bangalore on July 21, the third round of the western section on September 21, the fourth and fifth rounds of the central and northern sections were held in Indore on October 5, and the eastern section was held in Guwahati on November 24. The top five riders in each group from all these qualifying rounds have reached the final round and the riders who have made it to the final round will put their skills to the test. There will be 11 classes (groups) in the final round of the Indian National Rally Sprint Championship. In this rally, riders will be racing for the title of team champion, riders group A, B, bullet class, scooter class, women’s group, adult group, etc.
