The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Pune is shocked and outraged by the horrific incidence of rape and murder of a second-year postgraduate medical student in Kolkata. This brutal act has left the entire medical fraternity and civil society in a state of mourning and anger.

IMA Pune strongly condemns this heinous crime and demands swift and severe action against the perpetrators. The safety and security of medical students, particularly women, is of utmost concern, and we urge the authorities to take immediate measures to ensure a secure environment for all students.
