“Alekhya” Art Exhibition to Depict the Life of Devi Ahilya and the Grandeur of Mahakumbh

 

Pune : . The South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur (Ministry of Culture, Government of India) is organizing the “AlekhyaArt Exhibition in Pune. Dedicated to the tercentenary year of Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar’s birth and the grandeur of the Mahakumbh, the exhibition will be held from September 17 to 22 at Bal Gandharva Art Gallery, Pune.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on September 17 at 11:00 AM. The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Minister Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil, Pune Collector Shri Jitendra Dudi, Director of ICCR Sub-Centre Pune Shri Sudarshan Shetty, and Assistant Director (Programs), South Central Zone Cultural Centre Shri Deepak Kulkarni.

Speaking about the event, Mrs. Aastha Karlekar, Director, South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur, informed that artworks created by various artists will be showcased, highlighting Devi Ahilya’s philanthropic life, her social reforms, and the spiritual significance of the Mahakumbh.
The exhibition will remain open to art enthusiasts daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with free entry. Organizers noted that “Alekhya” will offer a unique opportunity to experience and understand Indian art, culture, and history more closely.
