Sancheti College of Physiotherapy Shines at Indian Association of Physiotherapists Excellence Awards 2026
Wins Best College Award, Technology Integrated Centre Award, and Specialised Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Centre Award
PUNE | Sancheti College of Physiotherapy, a part of Sancheti Healthcare Academy, marked a landmark achievement at the World Physiotherapy Asia Western Pacific (WPAWP) Regional Conference, held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi.
At a special ceremony during the conference, Dr. Manisha Sanghvi, Chairperson, Sancheti Healthcare Academy, along with Principal Dr. Radha Bhattad, received three prestigious honours at the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) Excellence Awards 2026. The awards were presented by Dr. Sanjeev Jha, President, Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).
The accolades include the Best College Award for Sancheti College of Physiotherapy, along with the Technology Integrated Centre Award and the Specialised Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Centre Award for its parent hospital, Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation (SIOR).
Presented by the 70-year-old national association, the awards recognise Sancheti’s sustained contribution to academic rigour, clinical innovation and research over three decades.
Established in 1995 under the vision of Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Dr. B.C. Roy Awardee Dr. K. H. Sancheti, Sancheti College of Physiotherapy is a NAAC-accredited institution offering Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPTh), Master of Physiotherapy (MPT), and PhD programmes.
The college follows an integrated academic and clinical framework, enabling students to undertake rotational postings across its parent tertiary-care hospital as well as other hospitals. Students also receive hands-on exposure to advanced rehabilitation technologies, alongside opportunities to engage in research and professional development.
The institution further supports student and faculty development through research incentives, participation in flagship national conferences, and exposure to emerging technologies in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
