A recent CSDS-Lokniti pre-poll survey indicates that the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance stands to benefit from significant public approval of its infrastructure and welfare initiatives ahead of the Maharashtra state elections. Sectors like public transport, electricity, water supply, and sanitation have seen marked improvements under Devendra Fadnavis’s leadership, which could offer the ruling alliance a distinct advantage at the polls. These accomplishments appear to be resonating with voters, positioning Fadnavis as a strong contender for the Chief Minister’s post should the alliance return to power.

Infrastructure Development to Transform Maharashtra
One of the key factors driving public approval of the Mahayuti government, as per the survey, is its infrastructure development. The government’s efforts to upgrade public transport, enhance road connectivity, and provide affordable housing have become a hallmark of Fadnavis’s leadership.
