The Global Centenary Conference on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s seminal Doctoral Thesis, “The Problem of the Rupee: Its Origin and its Solutions at LSE- London School of Economics and Social Sciences at London UK has been orchested during 7-11 June 2024.
In 1923, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, in his august capacity explored the issue related with national currency in British India and its impact on various sections of society. He insisted that following the gold standard is helpful to stabilise the currency value of Indian Rupee at domestic and international national markets. Still India currency is going through upheavals and India is facing inflationary effects on public life.
As you know, Economics and Finance have always played a significant role in the sustainable development and inclusive growth of the nation and have perpetually shaped its destiny. Dr. Ambedkar’s conceptualization of socio-economic progress warrants profound elucidation and a comprehensive grasp.
