Noble Hospitals Organises Bike Rally to Spread Awareness on Organ Donation
Rally flagged off by senior leadership; initiative aims to inspire more people to become organ donors
Pune : Noble Hospitals, Pune, organised a Bike Rally for Organ Donation Awareness today to encourage people to understand the importance of organ donation and inspire more citizens to make the life-saving choice of becoming organ donors.The rally was flagged off in the presence of Jyoti Kadam, Resident Deputy Collector along with Dr. Divij Mane, Deputy Managing Director, Noble Hospitals, and Dr. Sanjay Pathare, Group Executive Officer, Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, RJ Sangram Khopde and other dignitaries. The rally commenced from Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, Pune, and travelled to Magarpatta City -Amanora Township – Malwadi -Gadital Hadapsar and back to Noble Hospital covering a total of 12 km with 200+ number of participating bikers carrying the message of organ donation across the city.
The initiative follows a special awareness programme organised recently to mark Organ Donation Day, as part of Noble Hospitals’ continued efforts to create greater awareness about organ donation and its potential to give a new lease of life to patients awaiting transplants.
Dr. Divij Mane, Deputy Managing Director at Noble Hospitals said that through the rally, we sought to take the message of organ donation beyond the hospital premises and into the community. The campaign emphasised that one donor can give the gift of life to many people, while encouraging families to discuss and understand the importance of organ donation.
Dr. Sanjay Pathare, Group Executive Officer at Noble Hospitals and Research Centre said that Awareness is the first step towards increasing organ donation, The rally also highlighted the importance of collective participation in creating a stronger culture of organ donation.
The initiative received support from The Bikerni. Urvashi Patole, Co Founder, The Bikerni said that As motorcyclists, we are often seen as voices and ambassadors within our local communities. That gives us a chance to use that influence for something that truly matters.By speaking about organ donation and encouraging people to register, we can start conversations within our families and communities that could ultimately save lives. Kalyanaraman Venkatesan Founder, Mission Safer Roads said that Organ donation is a cause that can give someone a second chance at life, and I believe we need more conversations and awareness around it. As bikers, we have a strong community and a visible platform, and we are always ready to come together for causes that make a difference. Today’s rally with Noble Hospitals, Pune, was our way of using that platform to spread awareness and encourage more people to consider organ donation.
