355th Aradhana Mahotsava of Sri Raghavendra Swamy to be Celebrated in Pune

Pune: The 355th Aradhana Mahotsava of Sri Raghavendra Swamy will be celebrated at Shri Varadendra Shri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Sadashiv Peth, Laxmi Road, Pune, from August 29 to 31, 2026. The religious festival is being organized under the guidance of Jagadguru Shrimad Madhwacharya Moola Maha Samsthanam, Nanjangud, and the Mutt.

As part of the preparations for the festival, Dhvajarohaṇa, Pranapratishta, Shakotsava, Dhanadhanya Pooja and Lakshmi Pooja will be conducted on August 28 at 6 p.m. Under the Upakarma programme, Rigvediya Upakarma will be held on August 26, while Yajurvediya Upakarma will be held on August 28. Nitya rituals will be conducted at 7 a.m., followed by the Nutana ritual at 9 a.m.

Several religious rituals and Sevas will be conducted during the three-day Aradhana Mahotsava. Suprabhata Seva will be held at 5.30 a.m., Panchamruta Abhisheka at 8 a.m., and Utsavaraya Padya Pooja and Kanakamaha Pooja at 11 a.m. This will be followed by Alankara, Hastodaka, Mahamangalarati and Teertha Prasada at 12.05 p.m. Dasavani will be held at 5 p.m., followed by Rathotsava, Swasti Vachana, Dolotsava and Mahamangalarati from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Maha Rathotsava will be held on August 31 at 9.30 a.m.

Cultural programmes have also been planned as part of the celebrations. Kumari Sujata Devan will present a Dasavani programme on August 29 at 5 p.m., while Anand Bhimsen Joshi will present a Dasavani programme at the same time on August 30. A Bhajane programme will be held on August 31 at 5 p.m.

The Mahotsava is being organized under the directions of H.H. 108 Dr. Sri Sri Subudhendra Teertharu, Peethadhipati of the Mutt. Dattatraya Joshi Guruji, on behalf of the organizers, has appealed to devotees to participate in large numbers and seek the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy during the Aradhana Mahotsava.
