IFSC Asian K Championship 2025: India Bags Six Medals on Day Three

 

Pimpri Chinchwad, November 4, 2025 — The third day of the IFSC Asian Kids Championship 2025 witnessed a breath taking performance by Indian young climbers, who bagged a total of six medals, Leaving the audience spellbound. The event is jointly organized by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Maharashtra Sport Climbing Association (MSCA), and the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF).

With their spectacular performance, Indian athletes made a mark in the Asian sport climbing arena, while Pimpri Chinchwad cemented its reputation as a new hub for international-standard sport climbing events.

In the Boys Under-13 Speed category, India’s Aakash Soren clinched the Gold medal, scaling the wall in just 8.368 seconds, stunning spectators with his agility and precision. His compatriot Shankar Singh Kuntia secured the silver with a timing of 8.574 seconds, while Mora Buriuli took home the bronze. In the Bouldering category, Korea’s Lim Sihyun and Junhyeok Ko dominated, while India’s Shankar Singh Kuntia secured an impressive Silver medal, a feat very few have achieved in Indian Sport Climbing.

In the Girls Under-13 Speed category, India’s Dhruvi Ganesh Padwal delivered a dazzling performance, winning the Gold medal by reaching the summit in just 10.379 seconds. Manisha Hansda claimed the Silver with a time of 11.478 seconds, and Man Noi Lam of Hong Kong took the bronze. In the Bouldering discipline, Korea’s Kim Heun and Roa Lee bagged the top two spots, while Elina Sami of Iran and India’s Dhruvi Padwal finished among the top eight.

In the Lead category (Under-15), climbers from Korea and Japan dominated the competition. Among boys, Jungyun Choi of Korea claimed the gold, followed by Itsuki Nagao of Japan with silver. In the girls’ lead event, Habin Kim of Korea continued her nation’s dominance with a gold medal, Noh Yoon Seo of Korea secured silver, and Sumire Hirose of Japan took bronze. India’s Ved Chavan and Arshiya Banu Peerasbanavar also put up a commendable fight in this challenging category.

Last night the medal distribution ceremony raised the national pride to a very high level, charged with emotions and teary eyes as the National Anthem got played twice, thanks to the Medallists , their coaches, the event organizers – making their sweat and toil all worthwhile. With these six medals, India’s young climbers have showcased their growing strength and potential in international sport climbing, and given an impetus to MSCA’s Mission Olympics from this Sport Climbing facility in Pimpri Chinchwad.
