Veritas 2025: IMA Maharashtra’s Flagship MSN-JDN Conclave Marks a Resounding Success

 

IMA Maharashtra proudly hosted its flagship MSN-JDN Conclave, Veritas 2025, organized jointly by IMA MSN and IMA JDN Maharashtra on March 28th and 29th, 2025 at the IMA Mumbai West Branch. The two-day mega event brought together over 420 enthusiastic undergraduate and postgraduate medical students from across the state, providing a dynamic platform for academic enrichment, practical learning, and leadership development.

The conference was inaugurated in a vibrant ceremony led by Ms. P. Lekhavardhini (State Convenor, IMA MSN Maharashtra) and Mr. Shafaan Maknojia (State Joint Secretary and Organising Secretary, MSN Veritas 2025). Their eloquence and stage presence set a spirited tone for the event. Shafaan’s exceptional organizational skills and calm leadership were central to the flawless execution of the conclave. Ms. P. Lekhavardhini also deserves special commendation for seamlessly coordinating the entire event while efficiently managing administrative responsibilities of IMA MSN Maharashtra.

Dr. Santosh Kadam, President of IMA Maharashtra, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, alongwith Dr. Anil Avhad, State Secretary of IMA Maharashtra. Their unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive leadership greatly enriched the event. Dr. Jayesh Lele, Former Honorary Secretary General of IMA HQ, and Dr. Shivkumar Utture, National Chairman of IMA MSN, joined as Guests of Honour, bringing with them years of visionary leadership and steadfast support for nurturing future leaders in medicine.

The event also honoured stalwarts such as Dr. Rashmi Mehta, President, IMA Mumbai West, and Dr. Madhubala Chinchalkar, Secretary, IMA Mumbai West, whose belief in youth-led initiatives and consistent mentorship enabled the conclave to be hosted at the prestigious IMA Mumbai West Branch. Their support was pivotal to the success of Veritas 2025.

Addresses by Dr. Shiv Joshi (Chairman, IMA MSN Maharashtra) and Dr. Ajoy Saha (Chairman, IMA JDN Maharashtra) provided compelling insights, annual updates, and a heartfelt reflection on the collaborative journey of Veritas. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Pravin Dhage (Organising Secretary, IMA JDN), followed by the national anthem.

The academic segment featured stimulating quizzes, debates, and research paper presentations, complemented by hands-on workshops in ophthalmology, suturing, emergency medicine, artificial intelligence, and interventional radiology—each designed to bridge the gap between clinical learning and evolving technologies.

The social side of Veritas included a pre-conference soft skills challenge, fostering camaraderie among delegates, and Rhapsody: The Musical Talent Hunt, which celebrated the artistic expressions of young doctors.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by Dr. Ajoy Saha, Dr. Shiv Joshi, Dr. Akshay Yadav (National Co-Convener, IMA MSN Standing Committee), and Dr. Indranil Deshmukh (National Secretary, IMA JDN Standing Committee). Their steadfast guidance, encouragement, and behind-the-scenes mentorship throughout the planning and execution stages were instrumental to the conclave’s success. Their presence was deeply inspiring as they felicitated the winners and addressed the delegates with motivating words.

Veritas 2025 was accredited with 4 MMC Credit Points, acknowledging its academic excellence and value to the medical fraternity.
