XVIII INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON HIGH ENERGY AND SPECIAL MATERIALS – HEMs-2023
High Energy Material Research Laboratory, Pune based DRDO laboratory in association with Tomsk State University & Federal Research & Production Centre, Russia is organizing XVIII International Workshop on High Energy and Special Materials on 2nd & 3rd November 2023 at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam DRDO Golden Jubilee Auditorium, Pashan, Pune.
The International Workshop on High Energy and Special Materials (HEMs-2023) is being inaugurated by Dr Samir V Kamat, Secretary Department of Defence R&D and Chairman DRDO.
The International Workshop on HEMs is started in the year 2004 and subsequently & regularly organized by Russia with International Collaborators like Politecnico di Milano, Italy; Airvus Safran Launchers (Ariane Group) and Universite Lyon 1, France; JAXA, Japan. First time, in India at HEMRL, DRDO, Pune, this workshop will be organized.
The workshop provides a platform to scientists, technocrats and researchers to share knowledge, experience and technological advancements made in the recent past. About 250 delegates from different countries like Russia, Germany, France, India etc, various DRDO labs, various ISRO labs, Academic Institutes and Industries are attending the workshop.
The exploration of cutting-edge technologies, the deliberations on innovative aspects of HEMs and the initiatives for collaborative developments are the major features of HEMs-2023. The main theme of this workshop is ‘Emerging Trends in High Energy and Special Materials’.
During the workshop, the focused areas for deliberations and discussion are Synthesis, characterization & evaluation of new energetic materials for various applications, Insensitive & Green HEMs, Advanced High Explosive formulations and devices, Advanced Pyrotechnics, Nonmaterials for HEMs application, Demilitarization, waste management, Environmental studies and disposal technologies of HEMs, Advances in special materials and allied technologies.
The XVIII International Workshop HEMs-2023 will be held to discuss, deliberate and share the new developments in recent past in High Energy Materials and allied technologies. In addition, the workshop is aimed at strengthening the collaboration of scientists and researchers across the globe on the development of new articles based on High energy and special materials.
Scientists will present and share the research work on advances in development of technologies during this workshop to evolve the road map for futuristic development in High energy and Special Materials.
