Experts deliberate on the role of robotics and it’s future for enhanced patient outcomes
Pune : Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, Pune on Sunday successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program “Robotic Surgery: Powering the Future”, in association with SS Innovations. The CME was exclusively designed for onco-surgeons, general surgeons, uro-surgeons, and gynaecologists, with the objective of sharing evidence-based insights and real-world experiences in robotic-assisted surgery. The program featured expert talks, panel discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions focusing on the evolving role of robotics in colorectal surgery, general surgery, urology, and gynecology.
The program was inaugurated in presence of Dr. Dilip Mane, Chairman and Managing Director, Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, Dr. Divij Mane, Director, Dr. Sanjay Pathare, Group Executive Officer, Dr. H.K Sale, Director, Noble Hospitals and Research Centre, along with expert faculties including Dr. Avinash Sakhlani, Director Surgical Oncology at Fortis Healthcare, Dr Ritesh Mongha Urologist and Kidney Transplant Surgeon, Dr. Leena Mehrotra, robotic gynaecology surgeon and the Director at Apex Hospital and Prof. Dr. Liselotte Mettler, honorary faculty at the department of reproductive medicine at Noble Hospital
The faculty members and panelists deliberated on clinical outcomes, technological advancements, and future trends in robotic surgery, highlighting how robotic platforms are redefining precision, safety, and patient outcomes. The CME provided 2 MMC points, adding academic value for participating clinicians.
Dr. Divij Mane, Director Noble Hospitals and Research Centre said that evidently with robotic surgery the post operative pain and discomfort are highly reduced in addition to a faster recovery period and this initiative was a part of our commitment to advancing medical education, innovation, and high-quality patient care through continuous professional development. We aim to standardise such exemplary techniques across the field of surgery to deliver better quality of healthcare for all.
Dr Ashish Pokharkar, Oncosurgeon at Noble Hospitals and Research Centre said that robotic surgery platforms like SSI Mantra 3 enhance the surgical mobility to significantly reduce blood loss for most of the complex major surgeries performed at quaternary care institutes when compared to laparoscopic or an open approach.
