AIR MARSHAL NARMDESHWAR TIWARI, AIR OFFICER COMMANDING-IN- CHIEF SWAC VISITS AIR FORCE STATION, LOHEGAON

 

Pune : Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command (SWAC) accompanied by Mrs Richa Tiwari, President Air Force Families Welfare Association (AFFWA (Regional)) arrived at Air Force Station Lohegaon, Pune on 15 Apr 24 for an inspection visit. They were received by Air Commodore Shekhar Yadav, Air Officer Commanding. Air Force Station Pune and Mrs Sonu Yadav, President AFFWA (Local)

The AOC-in-C was briefed on Station activities and its operational preparedness by the Air Officer Commanding. Later, the Air Marshal inspected various operational installations of the Station including fighter and missile squadrons, maintenance facilities, radar units and assessed their battle readiness. He flew a sortie on SU-30 aircraft. On 16 Apr 24, the Air Marshal reviewed an impressive ceremonial parade compnsing officers and airmen from various units and formations based at AFS Pune. He appreciated the vibrant role played by Station personnel in guarding western skies of the nation, highlighted future challenges for Indian Air Force and advised all air warriors to remain physically fit and mentally agile for operational readiness and ever vigilant to meet any security challenges. He inspected various messes and billets to checked the living conditions of personnel
especially Agniveer (Women).

Mrs. Richa Tiwari, during her visit, interacted with sanginis of the Station and visited various AFFWA ventures, including play schools and Umeed Asha Kiran School. Mrs Richa Tiwari appreciated the Station AFFWA for providing support and guidance to families of air warriors for organising various welfare activities and implementing schemes for the wellbeing of families of Air Force personnel
