PHDA Shivajians win the Noble Premier League

Pune :   PHDA Shivajians defeated Shirur Sunrisers by a thrilling margin of 1 run in the final match to win the  6th Noble Premier League cricket tournament, organized jointly by Noble Hospitals & Research Center and the Hadapsar Medical Association (HMA) and  played at the  SEZ ground in Magarpatta City.

 Batting first in the final, PHDA Shivajians scored 126 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs thanks to  79 not out off 33 balls( 7 fours and 6 sixes.) by  Shailendra Shinde  supported by Vishal Mundhe (21 runs) and Atul Zolkar (16 runs), helping the team post a competitive total.

In reply, Shirur Sunrisers managed 125 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 10 overs, falling short by just one run. Despite valiant efforts from Suyog Dhamdhere (55 not out), Mayur Mandale (26 runs), and Avinash Gavade (24 runs), For PHDA Shivajians, Srikanth Lokare bowled impressively with figures of 3 for 24, while Prashant Tilekar took 1 wicket for 26 runs, sealing the narrow victory.

As many as 350 doctors participated in this tournament.

Teams that participated in the tournament included Noble HMA Warriors, Purandar Champions, HMA Brigade, Beed Blasters, WDA, Vimal Fighters, Baramati Kings Eleven, Prime Plus Warriors, Phaltan Dare Devils, HMA Jagruti Sunrisers, HMA Avengers, Kedgaon Mavala, Sinhagad Lions, PHDA Shivajians, Tiranga, Dental Champions, Shirur Sunrisers, and Aryanglans Satara. A total of 18 teams from Beed, Baramati, Phaltan, Satara, Pune, Shirur, and Kedgaon across the state took part.

The winning team received a trophy along with a cash prize of ₹70,707, while the runners-up were awarded a trophy and ₹50,505.

The prizes were given away at the hands of Dr. Dilip Mane, Chairman and Managing Director Noble Hospitals & Research Center; Dr. Divij Mane, Director; Dr. H.K. Sale, Director Noble Hospitals & Research Center Dashrath Jadhav; Dr. Lingayat Mangesh; Dr. Sampat Dumbare Patil; Dr. Rahul Zhanjurne; Dr. Prakash Dube Patil; Dr. Shailesh Patil; and Dr. Yogesh Satav along with former HMA President Dr. Mangesh Wagh, Dr. Manoj Kumbhar, HMA Secretary Dr. Rajesh Khude, HMA President Elect, Dr. Swapnil Ladkat, Dr. Chandrakant Harpale, Maloji Tanpure, Avinash Padal, Kulbhushan Shirole, Raj Kodre, and other dignitaries.
