Sancheti Hospital Celebrates 60 Years of Excellence; Unveils New Advanced OrthoCare Facility and AI Innovation Lab
Over six decades, the institution has developed one of India’s most comprehensive orthopaedic ecosystems with specialised services across joint replacement, spine care, paediatric orthopaedics, trauma, sports medicine, rheumatology, neuro-rehabilitation, and several other sub-specialties. Sancheti continues to be a referral centre for complex orthopaedic conditions from across India and abroad.
Marking this milestone year, the hospital has launched the new 150-bed Sancheti Advanced OrthoCare Hospital, significantly expanding its infrastructure and clinical capacity. The new facility includes advanced operating suites, multidisciplinary critical care, high-end diagnostics, precision-based robotic rehabilitation, and expanded speciality clinics. With this addition, Sancheti now operates with a combined capacity of more than 300 beds.
The anniversary celebrations also mark a major technological leap with the launch of the Sancheti Artificial Intelligence Department, the Sancheti AI Innovation Lab, and the AIMD (Artificial Intelligence MD) Platform. This ecosystem introduces dedicated AI tools for patients, orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, anaesthetists and medical students, supporting diagnosis, rehabilitation planning, education and clinical decision-making.
As part of its commitment to next-generation rehabilitation, Sancheti also recently introduced one of India’s most advanced robotic rehabilitation programmes. The initiative is already demonstrating strong clinical outcomes in mobility improvement, pain reduction, sports injury recovery, and neuro-rehabilitation. “These technologies have redefined recovery by ensuring precision, consistency and measurable outcomes,” said Dr. Darshita Narwani, Head of Physiotherapy.
