Emphasis on Expanding Congress Ideology Among Non-Resident Indians – Maharashtra President Vidya Kadam

Pune – Many people from Maharashtra are currently living abroad. These Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) often have a strong desire to contribute positively to India. To harness this potential, efforts are being made to unite NRIs and, through them, drive various developmental projects in the country while promoting the Congress ideology. Vidya Kadam mentioned that the Congress NRI Cell is committed to making substantial efforts to bring Congress back to power by 2029.

The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress NRI Cell organized a press conference in Pune, where Vidya Kadam addressed the media. The conference was also attended by Working President Dr. Manuel D’Souza, Vice-President Augustine Nixon, Vice-President and Spokesperson Dhananjay Buddhivant, Jacqueline Forrester, and Women’s Wing President Alisha Sheikh, among others.

Vidya Kadam stated, “The Congress party is actively strengthening its position at various levels. As part of this initiative, we are working to bring together NRIs from Maharashtra under the Congress banner. On one hand, we aim to resolve the issues faced by these NRIs, and on the other, we will leverage their resources and influence to enhance education and employment opportunities in India.”

Dhananjay Buddhivant added, “Education, healthcare, and employment are some of the most critical issues in India today. The Congress NRI Cell will work alongside NRIs living abroad to address these challenges. Initially, we have set a target of generating 1,000 jobs across 1,000 villages. With the support of NRIs, we will focus on job creation, skill development for youth, and providing financial aid for self-employment.”

Dr. Manuel D’Souza criticized the Modi government, saying, “Under the current Modi government, multiple severe issues have emerged, resulting in a deep economic crisis in the country. In response to these challenges, the Congress NRI Cell will soon launch an awareness campaign to educate the public on these pressing matters.”

The Congress NRI Cell is dedicated to uniting NRIs worldwide and strengthening the party through this initiative.
