Japanese Spiritual Animation Film ‘Dragon Heart’ to Premiere in Hindi from December 25
The press conference, held at the Pune Union of Working Journalists, was attended by several dignitaries including Kota Noguchi (Japan, Regional Director, Happy Science South Asia), Shindo Ito (Japan, Head of Happy Science Nasu, Japan), Mai Arimoto (Japan, Happy Science official and interpreter for Shindo Ito), Naoko Ito (Japan, Happy Science staff), and Neeta Kalve.
The film is directed by Isamu Imakake, with the story and production by Ryuho Okawa.
The film deeply resonates with Indian values such as faith, karma, spiritual justice, overcoming fear, and discovering one’s purpose in life. It is especially appealing to students, families, youth, and anyone interested in understanding spirituality.
The plot follows 14-year-old Ryusuke and his cousin Tomomi, who are transported into a mystical spiritual world after a river accident. Under the protection of a divine dragon, they journey through different realms — the World of Terror, the World of Rust, Shangri-La, Shambhala, and the sacred Mount Meru. Their journey reveals universal truths about fear, compassion, justice, and the purpose of life.
‘Dragon Heart – Adventures Beyond This World’ has been honored with various awards across 16 global film festivals, including Best Animation, Best Spiritual Film, and Best Director. It is regarded as one of the most celebrated Japanese spiritual animation films of the decade.
